Activities to suit all tastes and projects
The Morvan and Burgundy regions abound with opportunities for relaxation, discovery, walking, learning… You’ll find documentation, maps and books, as well as a calendar of the week’s events, at the Domaine de la Cabane Verte reception (open 7 days a week).
On the estate, facilities and activities (for residents only): playground, bowling green, ping-pong, archery, canoeing (canoes, paddles), mountain biking, theme evenings, etc. A beach with pontoon is right in front of the estate. And you’re at the starting point of the “Tour de Ronde” (on foot or mountain bike) of Lac des Settons, which takes you across the dam.
Activities around Lac des Settons
Around Lac des Settons: numerous walks and hikes (on foot, by bike, on horseback, on motorcycle, with your vintage car, etc.), tours of the dam (in several languages), e-promenades and crayfish fishing outings are offered by the tourist office. The “Petite école des hameaux” is well worth a visit. Fun activities (e-foil, rafting, disc-golf, electric scooter, etc.), courses for children and teenagers, visits to eco-museums, castles, abbeys, markets, clog-makers, etc. are all on the program. You can also go horse-riding, climbing, river fishing or even scuba diving. Take part in an outing organized by the Park’s nature guides, stroll through the villages and the many flea markets, meet craftsmen and producers, etc.

And then there’s the whole of Morvan and Burgundy, with its many promising addresses: the 6 great lakes, the “gateway towns” (Autun, Saulieu, Vézelay, …), towns of character such as Beaune (and its famous hospices), Vézelay (Unesco World Heritage Site), Dijon (the old town and its national museums), the medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois, Bibracte (the European archaeological center dedicated to the Gauls and Romans), and so much more…

Lac des Settons, the 1st nature vacation destination for families and sports enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities (swimming, canoeing, walking, games, restaurants, etc.).
The Lac de Pannecière for those who love peace and quiet and fishing. 20 km from the Cabane Verte estate.
Lac de Saint-Agnan is a tranquil, rejuvenating lake, perfect for anglers or walkers. Less than 30 km from the estate, via the charming village of Saint-Brisson.
For the more adventurous, discover Lac de Chaumeçon, the Morvan’s leading white-water sports area (25 km from the cabane verte).
Lac de Chamboux is on your way to Saulieu (Saturday market). You can stop here for an easy 2h30 walk in the shade of the trees.
For seasoned hikers, Lac du Crescent is a 30 km long forest tour.
