Lac des Settons offers plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs and get out on the water.
The Domaine de la Cabane Verte reception (open 7 days a week) will be happy to help you. Special rates are offered by certain partners.
Row to the 2 islands: from the Domaine de la Cabane verte, take a canoe or paddle “le grand 8” (around the islands) (hire from reception).
Lake cruisers take you around the lake in a comfortable seated position, with commentary by the Captain (landing stages on both sides of the dam).
Want to take a pedal-boat ride? Meet at the piers (on either side of the dam)

A center for sailing, courses and leisure equipment rental (electric ATVs, windsurfing, catamarans, etc.), it also offers “clubs” for children and teenagers during the vacations.

Are you well shod? Let’s hit the trails …
The “tour de ronde” of Lac des Settons: a 15 km walk or bike ride along the Lac des Settons, with numerous picnic beaches. And along the way, visit the Faïencerie du Morvan, the “Petite école des Hameaux” and the dam (exhibition at the tourist office). Guided tours of the Settons and Pannecière lakes are organized in summer. Mountain bikes for hire at reception.
And there are many other easy walks, nature trails, e-randos and unusual places to discover. For example, the Narvau gorges (Lormes), the Gouloux jump, the Champgazon peat bogs, the Vernay peat bogs and the Etang du Taureau discovery trail (Saint-Brisson), the Montreuillon aqueduct, the megaliths and stone of the “La pierre qui vire” abbey, etc.
Marked trails for serious walkers pass through Lac des Settons: the “Chemin des pélerins” (176 km) from Vézelay to Autun, the “Tour du Morvan par les Grands lacs” (220 km, GR131), the “Traversée du Morvan” from Avallon to Luzy or Autun via Vézelay (GR12) and the “Bibracte-Alésia” route (120 km) in the footsteps of Vercingetorix.
